From members to makersISACA Madrid slate 2026-2028

Programme

Sixteen commitments: who does it, by when and how it is measured

Each commitment says what we will do, who is accountable for it, when, and how you will know whether we have delivered. All of them are proposals today: deadlines run from the day the new Board takes office, after the General Assembly on 26 November 2026.

More value

Being a member should make a difference: in training, career support and knowledge, all year round.

01

Mi ISACA Madrid (My ISACA Madrid)

One place for your content, your CPE (continuing professional education) information, calendar, groups and opportunities.

Why. What the chapter offers reaches members through emails, events and different channels: bringing it together in one place makes it easier to use.

What we will do. A members' area built on ISACA Engage, with a library of recordings, a calendar, working groups, opportunities and a tracker showing progress on this programme.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Build on ISACA Engage and develop separately only what Engage cannot do
  • No members' data taken outside the ISACA environment
  • Phased launch, starting with the library

How we will measure it

  • Monthly active members
  • Content published
  • Training hours viewed

02

Training included in your membership, all year round

A stable calendar of masterclasses and workshops included in your membership.

Why. Training is what members value most, and it can be available all year round, not only at the big events.

What we will do. A monthly masterclass given by leading professionals, hands-on workshops for small groups and short online sessions whenever a relevant regulation changes.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Annual calendar published in advance, with detail by half-year
  • Speakers chosen through open calls, from inside and outside the chapter
  • Sessions recorded, with the speaker's permission, for the Mi ISACA Madrid library

How we will measure it

  • 12 masterclasses a year, against those planned
  • Number of individual members attending
  • Average rating published after each session; target: 4 out of 5 or higher

We help you get certified

Study groups and grants to prepare for CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CDPSE and AAISM.

Why. Preparing for a certification on your own is expensive and it is hard to keep up momentum.

What we will do. Study groups among members, led by members who already hold the certification, and a grant scheme for preparation courses.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Calls for study groups twice a year
  • Volunteer coordinators who already hold the certification
  • Public rules for the grants, with criteria and a selection panel

How we will measure it

  • Groups launched and number of participants
  • Grants awarded
  • Exam passes reported by participants

Stronger Jueves ISACA and events that teach and connect

Keeping the monthly Jueves ISACA (ISACA Thursdays) meet-up, strengthening it and publishing an annual agenda with high-level content, networking and CPEs.

Why. Events are the most visible part of the chapter and what members value most: each one must bring knowledge or connections.

What we will do. An annual agenda published every September that keeps Jueves ISACA as the monthly meet-up and the annual congress, and strengthens them with more participatory formats (debates, case studies, networking with a purpose) and more activities outside Madrid and online.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Annual calendar published every September
  • Every event with a clear goal: learn, connect or debate
  • Feedback on every event and published improvements

How we will measure it

  • Events held versus planned
  • Attendees, including first-timers
  • Average rating of each event

Mentoring programme

Experienced professionals supporting other members, with goals and an end date.

Why. A network of more than 1,600 members could do much more for members' professional development.

What we will do. A six-month programme that pairs mentor and mentee around a goal: a first job, a change of field, stepping into a management role or returning to work.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Open call for mentors, including retired professionals
  • Matching by goal and speciality
  • Each edition closes with feedback from both sides

How we will measure it

  • Pairs formed and completed
  • Goals achieved according to the mentees
  • Mentors who return for another round

06

Career and jobs

Job vacancies in the sector, benefits with specialist recruitment firms and one day a year devoted to your career.

Why. Many organisations are looking for audit, risk and cybersecurity profiles, and the chapter has no dedicated space for vacancies in Spain.

What we will do. A space for job vacancies posted by employers, agreements with recruitment firms specialising in audit, risk and cybersecurity that offer benefits to members and, on the same terms for all, to the chapter's sponsoring companies, and an annual Career Day with CV reviews, mock interviews and meetings with employers. Members' data is never shared.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Only vacancies posted by employers: no individual CVs or profiles are published
  • Agreements with specialist recruitment firms, with no access to members' data
  • Career Day within the annual events agenda

How we will measure it

  • Job offers published
  • Agreements with recruitment firms
  • Career Day attendees and participating organisations

More voice

A chapter that listens, answers and opens the door to anyone who wants to contribute.

07

A 90-day welcome and a members' inbox that always replies

Every new member knows in their first month what the chapter offers, and every member has someone to write to.

Why. New members do not always know everything the chapter offers, or whom to ask.

What we will do. A welcome programme for the first 90 days and a members' inbox that replies within 5 working days at most.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Personal contact with every new member
  • A practical members' guide
  • Log of enquiries and response times

How we will measure it

  • New members contacted in their first month
  • Enquiries answered within 5 working days; target: 95%

08

Open calls and the right to propose

Speakers, mentors, trainers and award judges chosen through open calls, and a written reply to any proposal with enough support.

Why. People who want to contribute do not always know how: volunteer roles should be advertised in good time and open to everyone.

What we will do. Public calls for every volunteer role, including those on the Extended Board, and a right to propose: if an idea gathers a minimum level of support from members, the Board studies it and replies in writing.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Calendar of calls
  • If a proposal gathers the support of 25 members, the Board replies in writing within 30 days
  • Replies published

How we will measure it

  • Calls published
  • Members taking part for the first time
  • Proposals answered on time

Asking before deciding

A short members' survey every six months, with the results published.

Why. Asking members more than once a year leaves room to adjust course within a two-year term.

What we will do. Short surveys on topics, formats and services, and publication of what changes as a result.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Two surveys a year, in January and June
  • Five questions, five minutes
  • Results and decisions published on the tracker

How we will measure it

  • Participation
  • Decisions taken based on the answers

New talent, diversity and a Madrid chapter connected to ISACA's global network.

10

NextGen: students and young professionals

Resources and mentoring for the Student Group, awards for the best undergraduate and master's dissertations and bursaries for people starting out in the profession.

Why. Universities are where the profession's future comes from, and the relationship can go well beyond a single event.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Agreements with universities and business schools
  • Awards with a panel open to members
  • Mentoring specifically for young people

SheLeadsTech Madrid: getting it started

More mentoring, more role models and more opportunities for women in governance, audit, risk and cybersecurity.

Why. SheLeadsTech, ISACA's global initiative for women's leadership in technology, does not yet have a group in Madrid. We want to set it up and drive it from the first year of our term.

What we will do. Set up SheLeadsTech Madrid, connected to ISACA's global initiative, with an annual programme of activities.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • A launch team of volunteers
  • Mentoring and meetings with role models
  • Presence in schools
  • Participation in the chapter's governing bodies

How we will measure it

  • Programme participants
  • Women speakers in the chapter's agenda

A networked chapter, open to everyone

More activity for members outside Madrid and for international members, the chapter in English too and a stable relationship with other chapters and like-minded associations.

Why. Many members live far from Madrid and others do not speak Spanish. We want taking part to be just as easy for all of them.

What we will do. Coordinators on the Extended Board for members outside Madrid and for international members, more activities outside Madrid and online, key communications and content in English too, joint programming with chapters in Europe and Ibero-America and agreements with like-minded associations that bring members concrete benefits.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Activities coordinated in Andalusia, the Basque Country, Navarre, La Rioja and Galicia, open to members from any region
  • Chapter calls and communications in English too
  • Online sessions open to everyone, some of them in English or subtitled
  • A welcome in English for international members
  • Agreements with other chapters and like-minded associations, each with its benefit for members

How we guarantee it

Commitments with an owner and a date, declared conflicts and clear accounts.

13

Ethics and Audit Committee

A body with no Board members that sets the rules of good governance and makes sure they are followed.

Why. ISACA's Code of Professional Ethics and the Statutes set the principle of independence, but not a procedure for declaring, abstaining and recording. We propose writing it down and applying it to ourselves first.

What we will do. A Committee of respected figures, with no Board members, that drafts a ten-point code of good governance, sets the rules on conflicts of interest and proposes to the Board a working group to ensure they are followed. The President waives the right to sit on it and to appoint its members.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Ten-point code and rules approved within the first 100 days
  • Annual report to the General Assembly

How we will measure it

  • Declarations of interest signed and published by the whole Board
  • Conflicts declared and how each was resolved

The Cumplimos (“We deliver”) tracker

Every commitment with its owner, its deadline and its status, updated every quarter.

Why. A programme is only worth something if anyone can follow how it is delivered.

What we will do. A public tracker with every commitment on this page and its status, including delays and what is not achieved, and an end-of-term report commitment by commitment.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Four updates a year, in the first fortnight of January, April, July and October
  • Statuses: not started, in preparation, in progress, completed, modified, not delivered
  • End-of-term report, commitment by commitment

Clear accounts and a budget anyone can understand

The budget explained by investment line and a financial report every six months.

Why. Membership fees belong to the members, and they have a right to understand what that money is spent on.

What we will do. Keeping the review of the accounts by an independent third party and the Treasurer's report at every General Assembly, and also publishing a plain-language summary, with the investment lines and the goal of each. In 2027 we will work with the budget approved by the General Assembly on 26 November and, if needed, propose amendments; our first full budget will be for 2028.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Plain-language summary of each financial report
  • Investment lines with a goal and an indicator
  • Publication of the outcome of the independent review

How we will measure it

  • Summaries published on time
  • Outcome of the independent review published

Suppliers and sponsorship under the same rules for everyone

Written criteria to hire, public conditions to sponsor and abstention by anyone with any connection.

Why. Trust in an association depends on nobody being able to benefit from its decisions.

What we will do. A procurement procedure proportionate to the amount, and a sponsorship model with equal, published conditions for every sponsor.

How we will do it and how we will measure it

How

  • Suppliers: chosen and managed by the Secretary and the Treasurer, never the President
  • Sponsorship: the board member for events, on published terms equal for all
  • Register of contracts and renewals reviewed by the Ethics and Audit Committee

How we will measure it

  • Contracts with documented justification
  • Sponsorships on standard terms
